today i want to change the table numbering, like the figure numbering i want starit forward numbering insted of "chapter wise" nubering. I tried to change Paul Smith solution (take a look at the end of the mail) for figure numbering into a solution for table numbering. Because i'm a newbee, i failed. Can anybody else help me?

You only need to replace the word figure by table, as below:
\usepackage{remreset}
\makeatletter [EMAIL PROTECTED] [EMAIL PROTECTED]@table} \makeatother
