I've just updated this page.
Miktex will place itself in the $Path$ on installation but you will need to add the image magick Bin directory manually.
No Imagemagick places itself to the path while installing.
But be sure that you've installed Imagemagick version 5.5.7, with newer versions you might have troubles.
Lyx does not need a Path entry (someone will correct me if I'm wrong on that!)
