I was going to answer prev. that you should be able to change this in your window manager or desktop system, under "Accessibility" or somesuch category, but then looking at KDE (3.4.0) I discovered that I was wrong -- perhaps it was with Macintosh that one has a system setting for cursor size/appearance (including the insert cursor). Anyway, doesn't it make more sense to handle such "system interface settings" in the Desktop system.
