If you don't find English documentation for the above class then I 
suggest taking a look at 'book (koma-script)'. The KOMA-script classes 
are very well documented 
(http://www.tug.org/tex-archive/macros/latex/contrib/koma-script/scrguien.pdf) 
and are easily configurable.
