There are currently severe problems with LyX on debian hardy and the debian derivates. Your bug looks like this one: http://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/%2Bsource/lyx/%2Bbug/197950 We hope to have resolved this problem in LyX 1.5.5 which will be released early next week. Jürgen
