Hello again: Besides the error that I received when installing the software, when I try to open any of the help files, I get messages like this:
The layout file requested by this document, book.layout, is not usable. This is probably because a LaTeX class or style file required by it is not available. See the Customization documentation for more information. LyX will not be able to produce output. However, the document loads afterwards, but it seems that I will not be able to see the Tex version.
