... and exit/restart LyX? The reconfigure should not be necessary; I just put a hacked copy of stdsections.inc in ./.lyx/layouts, restarted LyX and it found the changes. What specific changes did you make to stdsections.inc? It could well be they are being found but not doing what you'd hoped. /Paul
