It does.  You just have to enter it as raw TeX (Insert > TeX Code or Ctrl-L), in
square bracket, as in <ERT>[totalwidth=50mm]</ERT>.

Relative widths work.  Again, enter them as raw TeX (but this time without the
square brackets).
