It does. You just have to enter it as raw TeX (Insert > TeX Code or Ctrl-L), in square bracket, as in <ERT>[totalwidth=50mm]</ERT>. > Or for that matter the Column command requires you to give > an absolute width for the column and doesnt allow a relative spec like > 0.5\textwidth.
