No, I don't; I include the initial slash. In fact, I just tested this with a new document (LyX 2.0.1 on Linux Mint 11), and it worked fine with "/home/paul/Desktop/whatever" as the path for the link. ("Fine" means, as before, that Evince would not open the link, but Acrobat Reader 9 did by forwarding it to Firefox.) The PDF you uploaded before worked for me, so I'm not convinced this is an anomaly in LyX. It's very strange, though. If it were just one PDF viewer involved at your end, I'd ask if the PDF viewer was current, but IIRC you said the link was broken in multiple viewers (?). Paul
