Hello Ken,A LyX document is not printed. From a LyX document you generated first a LaTeX document and then from the LaTeX document a PDF document. The PDF document is printed.
Of course, the quality of the printout depends on the output device. There is a tiny difference between a DeskJet 500 [1] and a Heidelberg printing machine [2]. ;-)
