I tried both, changing where I was putting the NoStyle command and trying to overwrite the setting of the existing style without success. When I try the latter, it looks like the theorems-ams module dominates all that I put in my layout file. No matter if I change the Style settings, or if try to delete it overwrite it with my own Problem style, Lyx deletes my problem style and replaces it with the theorems-ams' problem style. Maybe there is another file that Lyx is calling that overwrites any change I try to make. CB
