So I grabbed the NEC 8201 Technical Reference. I see part of what I've been doing wrong... (so many cold starts! Thank Skuld for REX!!!)
On the NEC bit 1 of the Directory entry status byte (00000010b) is the Open File flag. I can't seem to find anything in my Model 100 docs to confirm this. Is it the same for the M100?
