I was led to believe the Eneloop cells are made in Japan which influenced my decision to go with them. I'm using the Panasonic charger, which sounds like it might not be the finest idea, but it's what I have on hand. The batch of Duracells sitting in the drawer is the last I'll ever own. Nothing I care about has a Duracell in it any more.
