Hi Pedro,
Thanks, this is most helpful. The phone I have is an htc status. -----Original Message----- From: [email protected] [mailto:[email protected]] On Behalf Of Pedro M. This app would read out all the keys on your QWERTY keyboard, and on your soft keys on your touch screen. Just keep this in mind that once you hit the home soft key it would take you out of keyboard tutor. Hey I wrote this out for a friend of mine, but I think this also might help you. Get to know your soft keys on the touch screen. Normally this would be above, the talk, and end keys. 1. Above the talk key on the left side would be the menu key. This key would give you options, in what you can do with in an application.\ 2. Above the talk key closer to the center touch navigation, would be the home key. This key would bring you back to the home menu. 3. Above the end key, butt closer to the navigation key, would be the back key. The back key would throw you back to the previous menu, and or close out the application that you are currently in. 4. Above the end key, closer to the edge of the phone, would be the search key pressing this key with some letter keys will open an application. This would also allow you to setup any other letters that are not being used, to do the same. Note: generally these soft keys are in the order listed above, but on some phones they might be in a different order. I hope that helps. Good luck. -----Original Message----- From: Gary Metzler Sent: Monday, January 09, 2012 10:06 AM To: 'Pedro M.' Subject: RE: [MA] where am I app Hi Pedro, Thanks, that is what I meant. My phone has a send and end call button. I just have to figure out the layout of the soft keys. -----Original Message----- From: Pedro M. On most android phones, the back key would be one of the soft keys, but on the phone that I have, the Samsung transform ultra, the menu, home, back, and search keys are right below the screen, and they are physical keys. I hope that’s what you’re speaking about. Good luck. -----Original Message----- From: Gary Metzler Sent: Monday, January 09, 2012 8:05 AM To: 'Pedro M.' Go to apps, settings, accessibility, and make sure that both accessibility, and mobile accessibility, is checked. You should be ok, once that’s done. Good luck. -----Original Message----- From: Gary Metzler Sent: Sunday, January 08, 2012 10:51 PM To: 'Pedro M.' For some reason when I hear the warning message that you are leaving ma I don't get any speech. Also when I go into the phone app I don't get any speech. Did I un-check something I shouldn't have? Any help would be most appreciated. Thanks, -----Original Message----- From: Pedro M. Just back out of the where am I, app. Or click on your home screen. And to stop it from reading constantly, while you are in the where am I, app, click on your menu button and uncheck the gps satellite, and it would stop reading out your location. Good luck. -----Original Message----- From: Gary Metzler Sent: Sunday, January 08, 2012 7:18 AM To: 'Mobile Accessibility Android Users List' Subject: [MA] where am I app Hi All, I just want everyone to know I finally got my mobile accessibility demo loaded on my phone.
