same thing. I have to turn off MA and TB on to use it properly.

actually yes there is. unfortunitly it don't work with MA very well
at all. I should say that under ICS it don't work well with MA. now
under gingerbread, maybe it does, I don't know. anyway, there is
eyes-free keyboard. this has three modes. hidden, wich means you are
not using it at all, navigating, wich is a virtual d-pad, you swipe up
to do an up errow, down to do a down errow, left for left, and right
for right, and tap the center to semulate the select button. and
there is the typing mode. I use this with talkback in ICS very well,
and it makes things sometimes easier. sadly under ICS when you switch
modes under MA, it just says dot, dot, dot, dot. and when you are in
typing mode, as you move across the letters, you just hear dot, dot,
dot, dot, dot, dot. again, not sure what it does under gengerbread, as
I don't have a gengerbread phone anymore.
I hope this helps.

Is the D Pad the arrow thing? I hate trying to use MA's virtual
keyboard. Is there another option for a virtual keyboard?

this is why several of us would like to see a virtual d-pad. we know they
don't work in menus, however when this happens, touch exploration works
nicely. I would honestly love to be able to use MA again as I love there
voice typing. it is easy to use. however, until CF actually starts
listening to us, and acutally putting a d-pad in theere screen reader it is
useless. ferthermore, the scienence speach with the prosimity sensor doesn't
work outside of the MA suite of programs in ICS too. if you don't believe
me? go listen to podcast 11 on my ICS page located at
www.jjhof.com/android/ics <http://www.jjhof.com/android/ics> and you will see
what i mean.

I don't see any advantage of using MA with ICS. I used it with gingerbread
and rather liked it. With ICS, touch by explore does most things, but every
now and then it is good to have a Dpad in place. MA keyboard doesn't have
that feature, and MA and Eyes-free keyboard don't play nice with each other.
