I forgot to say do you use the rota! There is an option for form controls this might be useful! Hi there! You can also set up either keyboard commander shortcuts or even trackpad commander shortcuts! So take your pick! 1, vo+f8 you should be on general, scroll across to allow voice over to be controlled by applescripts and check it! 2 press command+8 and that should take you to commanders! then there are tabs for num pad, keyboard and trackpad! 3 select the one of choice then scroll through the options! I can only talk about the keyboard one! 4 enable the keyboard commander, then you have a choice of either the left or right option key to use as your modifier key [the right one should be already selected] and you can only use one for all keyboard shortcuts! then go to the add button and select! So here you need to pick which key you wish to use [there are a few already used] like M for mail and S for safari and T for time! So when you made your letter or number choice type it into the field you are on [ you must put the key choice in first] 5 then scroll right to the menu button vo space on it and you will find all the options including the one your on about! 6 Just select it and it will be set! So in future you'll just need to press which ever option key and the one you chose! In that menu you will also find custom in there you can pick applications like Skype and others which you can also give a shortcut key for! One tip though do not set one up for Itunes! There can be a con flicked with the option key, when you use the shortcut you can get the Itunes library chooser window! This can also happen when using vo+space to open Itunes! The way I open Itunes is from the doc with enter! Now hopefully your not asleep and I've not board you! hth Colin
