Hello Donal,

For long distance travel such as when I'm in a car with a driver who needs
directions, or when I'm walking through a totally unfamiliar area, I'll use
MotionX Drive, an app noted by Mike Arrigo in another post. Unfortunately, I
think it is only available in the US. It isn't perfect by any means, but does
the job well enough in my opinion. Most of the time I actually use the Sendero
Lookaround app for navigation because I'm usually navigating areas that are
somewhat familiar. The main drawback in my opinion is the hugely underpopulated
POI database they use. Many times I'll use a different app to get the street
address for a POI and then I'll turn to Sendero to help pinpoint the location
as I'm walking.

HTH,
Bryan
