you're forgetting. Apple is based in the USA, so it has it's rights to launch the product at first hand in the USA before shipping over the world. this is so that if there are initial problems, then it can be dealt with. not only that, but this is also a supported contractual agreement between apple and any other 3rd parties and support infrastructures.
