He may have said there is no password but from what I understand you can't
set up a mac without a password. I'd ask again to be sure otherwise you may
be reinstalling OSX yourself

Hi there. The mac I have is one that was purchased from an acquaintance.
He said he cleared it all.
for me and reloaded what I needed but he says there is no password yet I
cannot make changes then lock to revent changes without a password I don't
know.
I have trouble with my y fi sometimes going to another network in the
neighbourhood and I have to keep bringing it back to mine.
Does anyone have any suggestions?
