Hi Zach,

Merge was just the Apple program that brings everything from a old
computer to a new one. I appreciate the info you gave. It sounds like it
should have just worked. it was rather strange as when I tried to open the
virtual machine VM Fusion would open and just say VM Fusion has no windows. I
went to file and import but that didn't work either.
I'm going to manually copy the virtual machine over to the new
computer and try again.

the fact is I have three jaws keys available and need all three for
three new computers two at home and one at work. I can't afford to mess this
up. I was hoping by some miracle the old machine would work on the new system
for awhile.

so I'm copying it over to my time capsule and then over to the new mini. maybe
that will do it. If not I'll probably go for a new install. I need to move to
VM fusion 4 anyway.

thanks again for your info.
