Is there any way to set up a VoiceOver hotkey which would read the next/prior
control on a web page? I want this to read the next edit box or the next button
or the next check box or the next radio button. The WindowEyes screen reader on
that other OS had this function which I found very useful particularly for
doing web searches or entering data in a web page. I see that Safari has the
idea of web spots and land marks but I am not clear what these are and whether
they relate in any way to controls.

You can find the "Next Control" with VO+Command+J. The other commands you want
can be found in the VO Help menu, under the "Find" option. Unfortunately, many
of these commands do not have pre-defined shortcut keys. You'll need to set
these in the keyboard manager.
