I would do it through the recovery counsel., cmd r at boot and hold the key stroke for about 30 to 45 second. Turn on voice over and choose disk utilities from the table. You can also in ml access it the same way you did via your other os, through utilities. I add mine to the doc so I can do what I need to do from there.
