OK, I had a look at the link you posted and the reason I've got my source in nice cast set to skype is so people can talk as well if they want to broadcast with me. I've set everything else to the places you suggested already because I've had them set up for a while. I just want to make the people on skype and those listening to my archive/recording be able to hear my music. I've therefore set VLC output or audio device thing to soundflower as well.
