I have the original iPad, and I do notice more of a gap between pages in the Kindle app than with the iBooks or Nook apps, but it isn't anything like 6 seconds. I don't notice this on my 4S, making me wonder if the issue is processor or ram dependent. Maybe somebody with a newer iPad, i.e. the 3 or 4, will comment on this. Mary
