Actually before the kindle was not accessible at all. the hardware thing had
voice reading turned off by choice of the writer's and publishers guild. Also,
there ios app before was not accessible at all. All you saw was the title of
the book. I have a podcast of a podcast that was done 2 years ago when kindle
was first out. or maybe it was a year and half and the person could not even
remotely use the app. as there was nothing to use. and more and more colleges
are switching to kindle for their text books so students can take notes in the
margins and keep the books and stuff. So in a way amazon has no choice but to
make their hardware and software accessible if students are to succeed in the
class room. especially since some times a digital copy is all you have. Now
let's hope if the kindle has a mac version it can and will one day become
accessible.

Take care all.
