Very, very, very exciting. This could turn all printed material on its ear. Medical information, such as explanation of benefits, bank statements, banking agreements, greeting cards, etc.
I would expect, other than initially allowing individuals to print these new codes for free, the word processing vendors should be able to incorporate the plugin, in their app, by licensing Voiceye (Voice Eye) . But again, that would only happen after widespread adoption. Widespread adoption may take a while since it requires different hardware and software to acquire the information. In other words, it is not like you can print it out, and bring it over to your point of sale scanner and have it immediately give you the information you seek using today's barcode scanners. This is assuming the Voiceye technology would completely replace the barcode and qr of today. This is brilliant, and I wish I thought of it.
