I've been checking the status of this in Australia, the technology vendors I know and agency's for the blind of heard of the concepts however there just doesn't seem to be the interest for whatever reasons and all agree its a crying shame that nothing is being done at the present to encourage wide spread adoption of this technology, no idea what the status is in other parts of the world apart from the U.S. wehre the original article was written.
