Hi All, The AudioShare iOS app is free today. This app acts as an audio document manager that lets you access, organize, and manage your audio files, not just from Dropbox, Soundcloud, etc., but also from any Audiobus compatible apps that you may use (where you take advantage of the Audiobus capability). For quick background, last year a lot of the top music creation apps on the iOS platform implemented a standard called Audiobus. Music apps that were written to be Audiobus compatible could share inputs and outputs -- so you could use a music track you created with the synths of one app as one of the input tracks of another app. Take a track you created with GarageBand on your iPhone or iPad, and either double it up with another track, or bring it into a ThumbJam recording. Because the Audiobus sharing standard is built into these music apps from the start, they can all share their inputs and outputs, despite the normal sandboxing restrictions on apps. (Note, this feature is processor intensive, and only really works on the latest iOS devices, and primarily the iPads and iPhones. If you have an iPod Touch, for example, only the fifth generation model will make the cut of Audiobus sharing capability, and may be sluggish.) This was great, but all the different tracks you've created now reside in different apps.
AudioShare was created in large part to let you organize all your Audiobus compatible tracks in one place, and to play, organize, and manage them. It will also let you import songs from you device's iTunes music library, transfer tracks from Dropbox, upload to SoundCloud, and a host of other things, like recording to wave files directly in the app, normalizing and trimming them, etc. It's a great app, and has never been free before.
