YOu might look in vo utility under the braille settings while the display is attached to your mac air. You can also toggle between 8 and 6 dot mode, at least you can on my braille sense, on the note taker itself. Not sure where that setting is on the apex, though, as I don't own one of those. huh anyway, Cait
