Hi Everyone

Running the latest Yosemite and ITunes on my Mac Book Pro, and I am
downloading podcasts from Sendspace and encountering the following:

I successfully download a podcast on to my Mac book pro. The download is
successful , but, ITunes immediately and automatically starts to play the
downloaded MP3 file-please can you explain step by step how I can prevent
this from happening following a download?

Secondly, when I highlight the downloaded MP3 file in my downloads folder
and open the context menu and arrow down to "open with sub menu" is there a
way I can add VLC to this list? I note that there is an option called
"other" in this sub menu but I then get lost trying to navigate the screen
when I press enter on this item. VLC is already downloaded and in my
applications folder.

Any help and advice will be greatly appreciated

best wishes

Henry
