Depends on what you're doing I guess.
I have an all in one solution here which I really love however scanning
things such as books and so on is a bit of a problem given that the
machine is quite harge in hight and its mounted on a platform on my
desk, I'm going to get a separate scanner, they're cheap enough now.
I have a HP multi function device, software for the Mac was installed
automatically, the printer can connect to my network wirelessly and I
can print directly to the printer from my Mac, my iPhone using AirPrint
etc, I can even eMail documents to the printer from wherever I happen to
be and have them printed.

My old printer is not working, and I am not happy with my scanner. Just
wondered if all in one printers are a good idea and if any brand could be
recommended. Or is it better not to have an all in one printer.
