But my question is this, Is accessing the wifi configuration screen accessible
as my network is password protected and has a lot more security measures that
disable people from getting in unless I want them to. Would I do this from the
mac, and if so, I guess I'd install the drivers for that printer and software
that ships.

Blessings.

I’ve since discovered that all the printers which have Internet connectivity that HP
sell are able to do printing via email, its done through the HP ePrint service which
you set up, if anyone has any specific questions about this printer then perhaps it
might be better that they take them to another list or write to me privately as it
really doesn’t have much to do with the list topics now <smile>.

Hmm even the email function, that I'm sold on I'll have to do some digging and
see what I need for classes when it comes time for me to actually start up
school again. Oh by thte way how is hooking either of th emodels up to wifi,
for the air print or to hook it up to the wifi network at the houst. is that
accessible with osx?

Amazing, I know various people who have these machines and they’ve paid around
the same sort of price - new - that I did, $399 though I’ve just done some
checking and the Offocejet Pro 8600 is the current model it seems, its a bit
cheaper and I think some functionality has been stripped away from the device
but most functionality as described earlier still exists.

list price of $400. here is info for those interested. Looks like this is going

If this is the newer model, let's hope the software is still accessible with mac,
and if not hopefully I can maybe access it via ssh or through ssh on my phone if
i"m out. How cool would it be to do my assignments at school, email them and
have them printed by the time I stagger home.

Thanks again for telling us about this.

Blessings and this looks cool.
