Sarah, I'm not doubting you at all, but I don't seem to be able to feel any
air coming out at all where you described. Is it something you really do
have to concentrate to feel? I know it's not gonna feel like a leaf blower,
LOL! god forbid, but I literally feel nothing. Could it just be that my
sence of feel is not sensitive enough to notice it? I do find that my hands
are not always the most sensitive, so that could admittedly be the case.
My macs have gotten warm, yes, but never to the point of over heating. The
only time that happened with me was once when running a private seed beta of
OSX, but being those seeds are governed by NDA, that's really all I can say
regarding that.
Again, I don't doubt you. I'm simply just saying I can't feel anything when
I try, and was wonderring if it's normal that I may not. Should it be quite
easy to tell?

I read schematics on the ventilation system and it is located at the hinge
where the monitor is . the place where the top panel ends and the monitor
begins. You can feel the air coming out if you are paying attention. I
tried no sleep then to and just about panicked when my mac, and others got
very very hot. there's no ware else for that hot air to leave, a flawed
design in my opinion but there it is.

Ok, try this. from anyware in the finder type cmd shift G. Note that
also works in the open dialogue as well.
afterwhich type in the following path. Copy and paste this line
~/library
It does to have to be upper case.
Now find preference pains, and find the no sleep one. I do a cmd option
f to search for no sleep.
After you do that hit cmd back space to move it to the trash.
Btw I would not recommend no sleep because of the way the ventilation
system is designed. You will melt your mac in to scrap if not careful.
