Mary, there is no need to get defensive. I didn't say that they wouldn't
work. I just said there is no reason to buy them if you already have other
resources. I wasn't dismissing your suggestion, and if you took it that

Well, I personally recommend the wipes because after I use them on the
iPhone, they make my iPhone feel like it just came out of the Apple
packaging. Believe me, Christopher, I do have my reasons for recommending
it. It sucks to read messages like how it's weird we are having problems
with our iPhones when you don’t have any. And hey, don't waste your time
on those wipes, either.

Heck, if you have young kids who'd need it, don't even waist your time
buying the electronic wipes... even just a standard baby wipe will do the
trick. Just, if you use one, make sure you only do it on your finger.
Don't do it on the home button itself. Especially not if the type you're
using has lotion or aloe etc. in it, as that most likely will make it
worse.

My touch ID is kind of finicky, and I have a 5S running on iOS 8.3 as
well. However, it was finicky before I upgraded. Sometimes I have to try
three or four times before it registers. I have these electronic wipes,
though. The packets come with one wet cloth and one dry cloth. And ever
since I got those, I don't have as much trouble unless my fingers are
cold
or I've only recently washed and dried them. You can see an example of

I have an iPhone 5S which is about 6 months old and which is currently
running IOS 8.3.
TouchID worked well for the first 4 months or so, but alas is now
unreliable. If I register a new fingerprint it works fine for about 2
days
and then the finger print is no longer recognised.
Do any listers have tips on the best way to position fingers or thumbs
during the initial fingerprint registration or any other tips on how to
make touchID reliable. I have tried cleaning the home button with a dry
cloth and also tried registering the same finger several times as if they
were all different fingers. Would it help to clean the home button in
some
other way?

Do any other listers have problems with TouchID on iPhone 5S? Is TouchID
on iPhone 6 reliable?
