Sure. It's about as true as any other predictions one can make about the future 10 years from now. Tell your friend you predict he'll be dead by then. We've been through this before. Apple could lower its prices to the same level as those companies and guarantee it will be out of business on 10 years. It would also guarantee that they wouldn't have the money for R&D and that we wouldn't see any more cool machines or software. Which would you rather have? Apple making boxes that look and work like a Compaq or Apple making iBooks and iMovie?
