Okay, does anyone know Eric's address? I think I read in the Apple license
somewhere that he's not allowed to own a mac anymore if he voices such
sentiments. :-)

Eric, c'mon. Being a mac owner means that thinking about your mac sends
little shivers down your spine.

Thinking about your mac makes you want to run naked through the woods with
the wild abandon that can only be felt by owning "the" computer and using
"the" OS.

There's bliss, Godhood, nirvana, brahman and then at the top of the
spiritual level, being a Mac user.

As a man, being a mac owner brings me in touch with my maleness (well not
literally "in touch" - okay), and inspires in me so much confidence and
pride in being a man that sometimes, just sometimes, I feel tempted not to
put the toilet seat back down, thereby revelling in the feeling of
independence and oneness, after which I look at my wife and say, profoundly,
"See..."
I said I feel tempted, because I have not actually tried this yet, as my
wife and four daughters have let me know, in no uncertain words, that there
is such a thing as a time-space continuum and it will be forever shattered
if I were to attempt such a thing.
Yet at times, I am tempted....and believe the continuum would probably
survive the raised toilet seat, though I would surely not.

Being a Mac owner, Eric, is not just about using the best OS, and flipping
to another should it have the features of "Brand X" that you have so
brazenly craved.

Being a mac owner is something that we few men, women and children have
committed to and been entrusted with. To us, the symbol of the Apple is
Excalibre, and we must wield it without fear, and prepare for the day when
we shall smite the Big Blue and drive it from this world, thus bringing the
continuum into harmony again.

This sir, is what being a mac owner is all about.
Tom
