He was mistaken when he said i would plug straight in, The apple port he was talking about is an ADC connector, a digital connection, no help.
Mine seems to have only one VGA port Drew - nothing else :-(

The adaptor you need (I have one here) is probably no longer made. It was called 'apple standard VGA video adapter' it was part number M3924LL/A
And I got mine off ebay.
It has a female 2 row apple connector at one end and a male VGA connector at the other and the number 590-0322-A down one side. It is grey.
Other companies made them but i have the apple one.
i will have a look on ebay if you like see if I can find one.
