iBook Clamshell Memory

I have decided I am going to max out my iBook with the memory first. 
Which type of memory can the iBook clamshell (blue) take? I know the 
iBook can take up to 512mb even though most people think it is only 
512mb. According to Crucial Memory, it can take upto 256mb PC100 SDRAM. 
Does that mean it can take 512mb PC100 SDRAM?
