Don't knock Crucial - they are solid and pretty competitively priced considering out of over 20 sticks of RAM I've bought over 4 years I've never had a dud. I've had various other 'better value' RAM (i.e. cheap cack) futz out on me in that time.


It's Apple's fault that the figures are wrong for the maximum RAM, not Crucial's. If Apple bothered to update the specs on models to account for increases in RAM size and speed no-one would BE confused. What is more Crucial at least have a service for guaranteeing their RAM will work in your machine, be it in a PC or Mac, which is a great deal more than most people do!
