I think the main thing that slows osx down at least on the DV400 (768Mb ram) is that the drive is 85% full. With more space to spread files I think that should be the key to performance increase. I do get much idle time on x.2.6 and sometimes the mac doesnt seem to know what its trying to do - especially if its been left on for a while. Hopefully this should fix it, although I'd imagine maxing the ram could do it. -- Mike Karthauser Managing Director - Brightstorm Ltd Email >> [EMAIL PROTECTED] Web >> http://www.brightstorm.co.uk Tel >> 0117 9426653 (office) 07939 252144 (mobile) Snailmail >> Unit 8, 14 King Square, Bristol BS2 8JJ -- Mac UK is sponsored by <http://lowendmac.com/> and... 123Inkjets.com <http://lowendmac.com/ad/123inkjets.html> Support Low End Mac <http://lowendmac.com/lists/support.html> Mac UK list info: <http://lowendmac.com/lists/mac-uk.shtml> --> AOL users, remove "mailto:" Send list messages to: <mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To unsubscribe, email: <mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]> For digest mode, email: <mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Subscription questions: <mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Archive: <http://www.mail-archive.com/mac-uk%40mail.maclaunch.com/> Using a Mac?
