By 'installing Freeserve', do you mean using a Freeserve CD? If yes, have you got as far as setting up the account, or do you have your account details? If so it is best to set up manually. Go to your TCP/IP control panel, set to connect via PPP and enter the following 2 DNS addresses: 195.92.195.94 195.92.195.95 Then open the Remote Access control panel, enter your user name, the bit after the @ symbol, your password and dialup number. Then try to connect. Does it connect, if not what error message is reported. If it does, try to surf via your browser, what happens then. If OK save the Remote access settings when you quit it. If you've used the iMac for email before and you use Outlook Express, all your account details should be in your OE (Users) or Identities folder depending upon what version of OE you've been using. If you haven't yet got an account with Freeserve I'd advise setting up Remote Access and TCP/IP control panels with BT Clicks details (no registration required), then surfing to www.freeserve.com and setting up manually there, finally printing out a sheet of all your settings.
