Difficult one - without knowing it's history and hearing the sound !
Most laptop drives click to a greater or lesser extent in my experience.
I think it is the HD, and it was quite a lot worse this morning, after the coldest night of the winter so far. Now that it's been awake for about 90 minutes or so the clicking has stopped.
Probably a bad sign, I'm thinking....
