Re: your story : http://www.wired.com/news/print/0,1294,66460,00.html At the risk of seeming a nit-picking "Brit" pedant, I cannot help commenting on the questionable mathematics in this article about the success of the iPod amongst Microsoft employees. You state: "The source estimated 80 percent of Microsoft employees have a music player -- that translates to 16,000 iPod users among the 25,000 who work at or near Microsoft's corporate campus". Elementary arithmetic tells me that 16,000 out of 25,000 is 64%. Or - 80% of 25,000 is 20,000. Or - if 16,000 is 80% of the Microsoft workforce - the total number of employees would be 20,000. Which fact is correct? Basic errors such as the above lead me to lose confidence in your magazine's ability to deliver more complex information and facts. If you can't get basic math straight then how can I trust that you verify those facts that I can't verify for myself? -- http://www.m4mac.com Help, Troubleshooting, Coaching for Mac Users 07958 773472 -- Mac UK is sponsored by <http://lowendmac.com/> and... 123Inkjets.com <http://lowendmac.com/ad/123inkjets.html> Support Low End Mac <http://lowendmac.com/lists/support.html> Mac UK list info: <http://lowendmac.com/lists/mac-uk.shtml> --> AOL users, remove "mailto:" Send list messages to: <mailto:[email protected]> To unsubscribe, email: <mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]> For digest mode, email: <mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Subscription questions: <mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Archive: <http://www.mail-archive.com/mac-uk%40mail.maclaunch.com/> iPod Accessories for Less at 1-800-iPOD.COM Fast Delivery, Low Price, Good Deal www.1800ipod.com
