I share this experience of FF. Though FF doesn't take _long_ to launch. For those using more than one browser I recommend trying URLManagerPro. Independent bookmarking in any net application with import AND export of bookmarks into and from browsers. Independent History. More features than I get around to using but works pretty well out of the box. What has had me reverting to Safari is the passwords and usernames. I don't think there is a way to batch extract these from Safari (?) I have hit sites that FF has fallen down on that Safari was OK. Can't log into my router with FF - weird as I have in the past and it was quicker. (may be related to changes in newest version).
http://www.url-manager.com/ Now I think of it the author also makes Web Confidential and that may be a way to keep an independent password file - praps I will try it out and then I feel freer to switch browsers. regards Brian > My impression is that FF takes much longer to start up but loads pages > rather quicker.
