I've got a 3 year old Citroen C3 with a Clarion unit that plays CD-RWs,
but up until recently I think that was the exception rather than the
norm. My copy of Toast pops up the warning about most CD-RWs not being
playable in CD players and I think I got lucky. It was very useful when I
had to do a lot of commuting - the thought of treating CD-Rs as throw-
away objects doesn't appeal, no matter how cheap they are.

Those car players that can handle CDs with MP3s burned onto them must be
great - you could get most of your albums on a handful and the sound
quality should be good enough for the car.
