I still use SoftWindows 98 (an earlier version of which was in that issue of Byte) on my iBook, but it's only used to run one application - a support database application that I had to use at my old job about 6/7 years ago and ended up bringing with me. One day I'll get all the data exported. Thinking about it... OSX Panther --> OS9 Classic --> SoftWindows 98 --> 16 bit Windows 3.1 support application ...is a pretty good combination of operating systems, real and emulated :-). Thank goodness I don't need to run the software very often - the last time I benchmarked SoftWindows it was seeing the laptop (G3 800MHz) as a Pentium MMX of 150MHz, with no graphics acceleration. And to think that I won't be able to run this app under Rosetta...how dare they! ;-) Neil -- Mac UK is sponsored by <http://lowendmac.com/> and... 123Inkjets.com <http://lowendmac.com/ad/123inkjets.html> Support Low End Mac <http://lowendmac.com/lists/support.html> Mac UK list info: <http://lowendmac.com/lists/mac-uk.shtml> --> AOL users, remove "mailto:" Send list messages to: <mailto:[email protected]> To unsubscribe, email: <mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]> For digest mode, email: <mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Subscription questions: <mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Archive: <http://www.mail-archive.com/mac-uk%40mail.maclaunch.com/> iPod Accessories for Less at 1-800-iPOD.COM Fast Delivery, Low Price, Good Deal www.1800ipod.com
