This was only possible after throwing out virtually everything else, as the HD is so small, so we are keeping our eyes open for a cheap external SCSI drive; my husband does not fancy another trip inside, as he is nervous of the CRT and I don't blame him! I just think it's so nice to have it working at all, that I'm not worried about that sort of practicality, but, would it be possible to get my Epson SC740 working with it? I have an ADB cable, but the drivers came on a CD...

Once you have it networked, bung the CD in another Mac on the network and Hey Presto!

The 740 is superb for its connector capabilities, Apple Serial (not ADB!), USB and parallel.
