I finally found a way to stop the Mac freezing using OSX 10.4.2 and asking for a restart every 2 minutes - I disconnected my 2 firewire devices, which are:-
Lacie external hard drive containing only OS9 files. Lacie CD burner. So how can I get OSX Tiger to "accept" this firewire disc(s) without freezing? I was hoping to use the external hard drive for storage.
