I'd be very interested to learn where 'you can pick it up for about
half as much'. The Dell UK price seems to be just over £500, not a lot
less than the Apple price. (But the review you posted the link to made
a passing comment on the final page something on the lines of " ...
under $500...". Grrr!)

You might want to consider the Dell 2005FPW, which uses the same LCD as
the Apple and offers more options (but no Firewire port). Although it's
not as pretty (and, of course, has 'Dell' on the front) you can pick it
up for about half as much. Resolution is 1680x1050 - comfortably within
the Mac mini's capabilities.
