This may be a known problem I have seen before, the Recording industry has
gotten around any loop holes by not calling them CD's...There are generally
no Compact Disc label like you see in other CD jewel cases....These are
widely known as UnCd's and because the industry does not claim that they are
CD's they feel at liberty to do as they wish...

The German website called Heise has written several articles about this and
even provided a link (to an unfortunately Windows only program) that allows
you to work around this issue (but you only get an analogue copy) using a
program called unCDcopy...

with such 'copy protection'...Makes one want to start stealing music
